Spanish (FLC)
I am an Associate Lecturer in Spanish at the Language Centre of the University of Exeter. Currently, I act as the Module Convenor for FLS2230 and FLS3715-FLS3730, and I am a Spanish DELE Official Examiner. I obtained my BA in Hispanic Studies and my MA in Teaching Spanish at Higher Education Institutions from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). I went on to complete my PGCE in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language at the University of Santiago de Compostela, and an additional MA in Applied Linguistics at the University of Antonio de Nebrija (Spain). I have taught Spanish as L2 at the University of Santiago de Compostela (2002-2012), at the University of Bristol (2018-2022), and at the University of Exeter (2018-2024). Prior to this, I held a position as a Lecturer at Jilin University in China for one year (2005-2006) and at Dhaka University in Bangladesh for four years (2011-2015). I have also taught Spanish in Adult Learning programmes and on Erasmus programmes in Spain, as well as delivering specialist courses in Teacher Training across Europe for the Spanish Ministry of Education.
